Your Healthy Mix! {Day 3 of 12 Days of Christmas!}

Hi all! We are 9 days away from Christmas and I cannot be more excited!!! Today I would be sharing smoothie recipes! They are simple, easy and healthy. A good choice of drink after the feasting and booze.

I drink smoothies for breakfast to kick start my day and also help cleanse the body. And it really does it’s magic in cleansing the body!

First recipe I would like to share is Strawberry and Kale. Kale to provide the fiber and strawberries to give it the colour and sourness. However the smoothie might not be a desirable colour as the colour of the kale would darken it. But the taste is amazing! I would occasionally add oats in the smoothie to thicken it and feel full after drinking it.

Strawberry and Kale Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Frozen strawberries (A handful of them)
  • A handful of fresh kale
  • Oats
  • A cup of almond milk (Or liquid of your choice)

Directions:

  1. Chuck all ingredients into a blender and blend away!
  2. Pour onto a glass and sprinkle chia seeds if you desire.
  3. And Enjoy!

Next recipe is a simple, yet refreshing one. It cleanses your body almost immediately.

Kiwi and Kale smoothie

Ingredients:

  • A frozen Kiwi, sliced
  • A handful of kale
  • A cup of almond milk (Or water with lemon juice)

Directions:

  1. Throw all ingredients into the blender and whiz them all up
  2. Serve with chia seeds

Lastly, this recipe is very tropical and creamy and smooth.

Banana and Mango smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Half frozen bananas
  • A handful of frozen cubed mango
  • A handful of kale
  • A cup of almond milk

Directions:

  1. Blend all the ingredients up and Serve!  IMG_9297

There are many variations of fruit smoothies you could make. Simple, Easy and Delicious! Freezing the fruits make the smoothie cold and icy. That way you would not need any ice-cubes when you are consuming the drink.

I occasionally add peanut butter to my smoothie and it intensified the drink, it was creamier, smoother and more filling! I could drink smoothie for a snack anytime.

Change the smoothie flavours to your liking and own style, but it starts to turn into junk if you put in oreos, ice-cream and all the other empty calories food. It is a healthy and delicious fruit smoothie that all could enjoy without feeling sinful!
