{Travel Adventures}-Notojimaenomemachi, Japan; Part IV

AND I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER POST FROM MY TRIP TO JAPAN! In the previous post, I promised more food and indeed, there are some photographs on the meals in Japan.

So the day started off like this…

We did not do much as we spent most of the day on the road, traveling to a countryside to experience homestay. Therefore times when our feet are on the ground are during lunch and dinner.  IMG_7451

Our lunch that day consisted of a bento box. Inside the box it had a variety of small dishes. On the top left, there were steamed prawns with fish cakes. The bottom middle compartment consisted of lotus root which was dyed with a pretty pink in the inner circle of the holes in the lotus root. There were fried egg and pickles. On the right, was a fried spring roll. On the extreme right were like a stew of chicken vegetables and mushroom.

Before we headed to the countryside, we visited Kanazawa Tourism board. There was an observatory that displayed the whole city of Kanazawa, from short buildings to a pale blue sea.

After the visit, we retreated to the countryside, where we would be residing for 2 days without wifi! But it made all of us bond and enjoy the company of one another. Before it got really late, we called it a night and hit the sack. IMG_7458

We had dinner at the house we were residing that night. And we ate some pretty bizarre dishes. The dish in the middle was pork liver, and I had no courage to consume the whole bowl so I left it as it is.

Dinner was also accompanied by miso soup with a whole fish inside.

The host showed tremendous hospitality and sliced a whole fish and offered us sashimi!

Thus this concludes the event of Part IV! I hope you have been enjoying this series so far. I realised I am slow to update often for this series, therefore I would give my very best shot to finish this series before 2016! Till next time, Sayonara!
